Some of my earlist childhood memories are neon related beautiful bursts of brilliant color in the dark night..The era of the giant neon spectaculars has long passed and only a few aging relics, like the Kiddyland sign pictured below, still operate. Over the years I have taken phtographs and collected other images of neon. Now I would like to share them with you. I also have a You Tube station where you can view more colored lights in the night. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=MindsiMedia

BUCA Restraunt off Highland at Butterfield Rd. in Lombard good eating and great neon.

KIDDYLAND; North & 1st Ave. Melrose Pk. Though there spectacular main sign is in somewhat of a state of desrepair this is a lovely old time amusement park. Aimed at kids between 3-12 this park contains a number beautiful rides. There is a jumbo Merry Go Round with hand painted scenes in the center. A miniture train that you can ride around the park and much more. Sadly this gem may soon make way for a CostCo

ARCHER & PULASKI (R.I.P.)

A little off the beaten track this intersection is home to these signs. The Miami bowl 72 lanes is open 24 hours. The Tangiers , Rolling Wheels & Jazzy Florist are all within a block of there. Alas since this page was put together the area has undergone redevelopment and the Miami is gone.
